Dear CoachArt Community,

As we all continue to adjust to the developing situation with the coronavirus, we want to keep you apprised of the steps that CoachArt is taking to ensure the safety of all members of this community.

Due to current public concerns about coronavirus / COVID-19 and the closing of schools in the areas we serve, we have made the decision to suspend in-person programs until April 30, including:

  • in-person, in-home lessons (see note at bottom about “virtual” lessons)
  • one-day group activities
  • clubs

To continue to provide services to our families, we have begun "virtual" (online) programming offerings -- see details here. When we are able to resume in-person lessons, we'll let you know.

Additionally, we are in the process of restructuring or rescheduling the annual CoachArt Children’s Benefit, which had been scheduled for April 29 at The Palace in San Francisco. We’ll share our new plans for the Benefit once we’ve completed them.

CoachArt is committed to our mission of creating a transformative arts and athletics community for families impacted by childhood chronic illness, and that commitment includes taking the proper precautions to keep our community safe.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. When it’s appropriate, we’re excited to return to working with all of you to create a community of empowerment for kids impacted by chronic illness. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns about CoachArt and its programs, please contact us at info@coachart.org.

Warmly,

Greg Harrell-Edge
Executive Director

NOTE: During this time, we encourage CoachArt families and volunteers to consider having “virtual” in-home lessons using online video-conferencing tools. Some, such as Google Hangouts, Zoom, and Zoho Meeting, can be used at no-cost. If you are part of an In-Home Lesson match, you can discuss this with each other.
